We Are The Night

04 Jan

image

Take hold of my hand,
and dare not forsake it,
while fingers entwine,
shall my tremble be stilled.

Touch lightly my heart,
and dare not you break it,
with yours unto mine,
shall our fate be fulfilled.

Hold soft breathless kiss,
that your lips mend sorrow,
and cause my breath loss,
such that I would submit.

Cry not for this dawn,
love wakes on the morrow,
and still shall arise,
as our minds shall acquit.

Be wan for this stain,
the mark of our revel,
in our abandon,
we assail ardent flame.

Be still your fervor,
that with higher level,
shall we writhe endless,
and give love its true name.
