‘Ere, I Wander

04 Mar

To walk on, unafraid, as still I wander,
to be cast to a path as I have made so,
without need to consider, nor to ponder,
whither I have been, nor where I may go;
this is the path that I’ve chosen to walk,
I cannot turn back, ‘ere nothing remains,
with unwary need, unhindered by balk,
I continue forth, with fate at the reigns;
and should I falter in step on the way,
let e’en my stumble have purpose still,
that I may yet walk beyond dying day,
and find, ‘ere I fell, some loss had will.
