The Air Of Your Flesh

10 Mar

How like the stars,
the sparkle of your eyes,
how far and wide,
each focus of your gaze;
how like the sky,
as your soft breath of sighs,
how vast the plains,
how well cast your love plays;
how like the moon,
as the glow of your smile,
how like the rain,
spilling wet in your kiss;
how like the sun,
lighted fire of your wile,
how vast the hour,
wanton ache turns to bliss.
