No Grave Shall E’er Hold

07 Aug

And when Death, in its due course,
takes from us this exaltation of life,
that which we now so richly earn,
may we then fly to heaven as one,
unbound as we are by mortal hands,
but e’er merged in our spirited grace;
we are not mere flesh in our union,
but as a strength undivided in love,
and with that, our merging of souls,
that we are immortal in this world,
shall we be flesh again in the next.
